Coronary Artery Disease and Anaesthesia: Principles of Management in the Patient Presenting for General Surgery

Some of the physiological consequences of coronary artery disease are outlined. The management of patients with coronary artery disease is discussed from the point of view of the anaesthetist with emphasis on preoperative assessment and the avoidance of cardiac complications during anaesthesia.
