To determine whether long-term treatment with cilazapril improves pulse pressure, arterial compliance and ankle-arm systolic index (AAI) in patients with lower-extremity arterial disease. An increase in pulse pressure has been attributed to reduced compliance in both systolic hypertension and lower-extremity arterial disease.
