Pharmacokinetics of Netilmicin in CAPO Patients

Abstract: The pharmacokinetics of netilmicin were studied during 16 episodes of peritonitis in CAPD patients. An initial intraperitoneal dose of 10 mg of netilmicin per litre of dialysate gives a concentration adequate for most cases. This dose may have to be increased according to the respective minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of the infecting organisms.
