Abstract
- A simple high-temperature gas flow proportional detector for conversion-electron Mössbauer spectroscopy has been constructed and successfully tested up to 540 K. The sample was heated by a “hot-finger” while the detector body was kept cool. Spectra of an epitaxial garnet film and of a metallic glass illustrate the usefulness of this new detector.
