Abstract

•Hepatic hemangioma can be diagnosed based on non-invasive criteria by imaging.•Focal nodular hyperplasia can be diagnosed mainly by imaging with an additional value of MRI with hepatobiliary contrast-agent and rarely required a liver biopsy.•Histological analysis remains the gold standard for the diagnosis of hepatocellular adenomas even if some radiological features are highly suggestive of some molecular subtypes.
