Abstract

Since BOE Dual Cell (BD‐Cell) display technology was successfully mass‐produced on TV products in 2019, BOE has gradually expanded it in various fields such as industrial control, medical, and automotive. BD‐Cell products just a new application in LCD display which has been successfully used in automotive area. It can meet reliability test and achieve ultra‐high contrast, about 100000:1, which can compared with OLED products in visual result. However, in the process of technology development, we found that its stacked screen structure will have some unique problems, such as moiré defect, large viewing angle halo, and large power consumption. The structure of BD‐Cell module that has been sent sample to Visteon as shown in figure 1–1.
