Abstract

•Impact of work from home arrangements on trip patterns, travel behaviours, and activities is examined.•A set of GPS tracking data in Switzerland was analysed by three phrases of pre-COVID, lockdown, and post-lockdown.•Participants were classified into work-from-home and non-work-from-home groups.•The work-from-home group exhibited more sustainable trip patterns, travel behaviours, and activity pattern.•Many of the identified changes persisted in the post-lockdown era.
