Abstract
- Reactions of dichlorotriphenylphosphorane with bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxide in the presence of some organic compounds have been found to give chlorinated products. Aromatic hydrocarbons bearing electron-donating substituents give the corresponding monochloroarenes, while an enol silyl ether is converted into a-chloro ketone. The mechanism is briefly discussed.
