Abstract

Leukemic stem cells (LSCs) are implicated in the initiation, maintenance, and relapse of leukemia. The failure of current standard induction chemotherapy, which primarily targets dividing cells, has been linked to the quiescence of LSCs, leading to resistance to treatment. Consequently, there is an urgent need for novel therapies specifically aimed at eradicating LSCs to achieve more effective and durable treatment responses.
