Prognostic value of myeloid differentiation primary response protein 88 in type II diabetes mellitus in non-obese NAFLD: A case-control study from Assam

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in non-obese individuals is a global epidemic. NAFLD is related with type II diabetes mellitus(T2DM); thus may have a common immunological connection towards its genesis. We aimed to delineate the role of soluble-Toll-like receptor 2(sTLR2) mediated immunomodulation in the pathogenesis of NAFLD without or with T2DM.
