Factors Associated with the Prevalence of Salmonella,Generic Escherichia coli, and Coliforms in Florida’s Agricultural Soils

•Salmonellaand generic E. coliprevalence were 0.418% and 11.3%, respectively.•Mean E. coliconcentrations in positive soil samples was 1.56 log CFU/g.•Generic E. coliwas detected in Florida soils throughout the growing season.•Limiting contact between soil and crops should continue to be emphasized.
