Abstract

Transcriptionally defined small cell lung cancer (SCLC) subtypes represent dynamic cell states rather than static phenotypes.Subtype conversions appear to most commonly favor transition from high-neuroendocrine to low- or non-neuroendocrine states and are implicated in chemoresistance. While an inflamed phenotype is associated with low- or non-neuroendocrine status, the determinants of response to immunotherapy in SCLC remain an area of controversy.
