Abstract
- Productivity in medical academia encompasses research output impact, and professional influence, with the Hirsch index (h-index) serving as a key metric. H-index measures the number of publications (x) cited at least x times. While prior research in radiation oncology has explored the h-index's influence on career trajectories and academic rank, its connection with academic promotion remains underexplored. This study systematically delves into the relationship between the h-index and academic promotion through a comprehensive analysis of a nationwide cohort.
