Abstract

The abrasion resistance of rubber is one of the important indicators of rubber, which significantly affects the durability and reliability of rubber products. To explore the abrasion resistance of rubber, this article uses the classic rubber-tipped cone model as the research object, and analyzes the rubber abrasion mechanism through experiments and numerical methods. To this end, a rubber abrasion experiment machine was first researched and developed, and the rubber abrasion process was analyzed through scratching experiments. Subsequently, the mechanical constitutive parameters of rubber were obtained through tensile experiments. Based on the finite element method, a rubber-tipped cone model was established and the fundamental reasons for rubber abrasion were analyzed. Finally, the effects of tipped cone taper, load, and speed on rubber abrasion were analyzed. The research results of this paper explain the rubber abrasion mechanism and provide theoretical references for improving the durability and reliability of rubber products.
