Abstract

This systematic review and meta-analysis based on the data from randomized trials confirmed the similarity of medium-term oncological outcomes between en bloc resection of a bladder tumor (ERBT) and conventional transurethral resection of a bladder tumor. ERBT emerged as a safer technique, potentially facilitating enhanced initial disease stratification through improved detrusor muscle detection. However, heterogeneity among selection criteria and endpoints remains a significant limitation.
