A method for the quantitative determination of the total concentration of radiopaque agents in plasma

The total concentration of radiopaque agents in plasma can be determined spectrophotometrically after elimination of interfering factors using a double column filled with cross-linked dextran-gel Sephadex G-25c and Se-Sephadex 25c. The method gives a linear relationship between the total concentration in the sample and the maximum concentration in the eluate and is sensitive to about 50μg/ml of radiopaque agent.
