Analysis of spherical FSS using spectral domain method and G1DMULT

Abstract

A spherical gangbuster-type frequency-selective surface (FSS) is analysed with Moment Method in spectral domain. The spherical structure itself is rigorously treated by means of the G1DMULT algorithm. Excitation is modeled by expanding the incident plane wave into a series of spherical waves. Monostatic and bistatic radar cross-section (RCS) pattern of the gangbuster array is calculated in frequency range 2.4 GHz and results are compared to the conventional MoM method
