The importance of ceremonies associated with medieval wooden sculpture and its fragile materiality

In this paper the problem of fragile materiality of wooden sculpture will be discussed. The archival data as well as ceremonies kept until today will be taken into account in order to emphasize their importance in the context of preservation of some works of art.
