Abstract
- A silicon detector telescope has been developed for electron scattering experiments on nuclei at MAMI. It subtends relatively large solid angle (up to 88 msr) and is therefore suitable for measurements where larger acceptances are needed due to slower data collection. Digital processing of detector signals using variable-shaping-time algorithm enables maintaining good energy resolution even at high counting rates (< 500 kHz). A pilot measurement of the triple coincidence reaction 12C(e, e′ pp)10Be was made using the silicon detector along with two magnetic spectrometers and the preliminary results show satisfing missing mass resolution m = 0.56 MeV , with some 250 events in the ground state of 10Be.
