Generating uniform magnetic field using Helmholtz coils system

There is an interest for generating uniform magnetic field for various purposes in practice, especially for biomagnetic purposes. The aim of this paper will be obtaining optimal system for generating uniform field in given space. For that purposes in this paper, system of Helmholtz’s coils will be analysed using analytical approach, FEM simulation for numerical verification and genetic algorithm for optimization of dimensions. The system of coils and rectangular contours will be also analysed and its characteristics will be compared with Helmholtz’s coils system features.
