Abstract
- Pleistocene fauna, recovered from the cave deposits in Pećina na Brehu in Istria (Croatia) is presented. Remains of Ursus spelaeus are the main component, probably from individuals, who died in the cave during hibernation. Marmots and other carnivores also used the cave occasionally, but herbivore and birds remains probably represent the refuse of carnivore consumption.
