Abstract
- The Coriolis mass flowmeter (CMF) has been increasingly used over the last two decades for liquid and gas mass flow measurements. However, performances under real installation conditions have not yet been completely investigated. This paper briefly describes the effect of flow pulsations on the sensitivity coefficient. The CMF with two parallel elastic tubes was studied based on the distributed physical model. The model is presented in the form of bond graphs. It was found that the flow pulsations with specific frequencies equal to the sum and the difference of the frequencies of the first two natural modes cause significant errors in meter reading.
