Abstract: This document reports the first part of the experimental campaign carried out at NIFS, in collaboration between Consorzio RFX and NIFS. The joint experiments were done in the period September/November 2016. This first report part deals with the preparation of the experiment, and the first preliminary measurements to test and optimize the data acquisition.
