Abstract
Hemp plant (Cannabis sativa L.) is an annual herbaceous plant native to Asia and believed to have been produced in Europe since the 15th century. After the discovery of America, it also spread along that continent. Hemp is a dioecious plant which means that the female and male reproductive organs are on separate plants. Many useful products are obtained from hemp. It is used in the production of all kinds of materials, it is also used to make fuel that was previously used for lamps, while today it has a wider application as a biodiesel fuel. Unlike cold-pressed, unrefined oils are products obtained from suitable raw materials by pressing at a temperature higher than 50 degrees (60-80 degrees, 30 minutes), which technologically represents the phase of conditioning the raw material before pressing. The produced virgin oil is subjected to mechanical procedures (precipitation, filtration) to remove impurities and then filled into appropriate packaging.
