Genus Belemnites - paleoecology of Jurassic belemnites

U ovom seminaru je analizirano četrnaest uzoraka rostruma belemnita roda Belemnites, koji pripadaju vrstama B.compressus, B.elognatus i B.hastatus. Primjerci su pronađeni u jurskim naslagama na nekoliko lokaliteta u Engleskoj i Njemačkoj, a čuvaju se u Geološko - paleontološkoj zbirci Geološko - paleontološkog zavoda Prirodoslovno - matematičkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Provedena su mjerenja dužine, visine, širine i apikalnih kutova rostruma te je opisana sistematika, građa i paleoekologija analiziranih vrsta belemnita. Fourteen specimens of belemnite rostrum of genus Belemnites (three species B. compressu, B. elognatus and B. hastatus) have been analysed in this seminar. Speciemens were found in the Jurassic deposits in several localities in England and Germany and stored in Geological – paleontological collection, Department od Geology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. Measurements of length, height, width and apical angles of rostrum have been carried out and the taxonomy and paleoecology of the analysed species of belemnites have been described.
