Abstract

One-dimensional model of biosensor with a perforated membrane that approximates two-dimensional model is presented in this work. The model is solved by using finite-difference method, explicit method. Modeling error was defined by computational modeling. The research was conducted with different parameter values of diffusion model, hole radius of perforated membrane and initial substrate concentration. The conditions to use a one-dimensional model instead of a two-dimensional biosensor with a perforated membrane model were found by computational modeling.
