Nothing is as Practical as Good Interdisciplinarity

This article, which is based on an educational research project, presents three illustrations of good interdisciplinarity : a kind of thinking that is both action-oriented and conceptual. It shows how such thinking has the potential to advance specific disciplines, and also highlights the conditions under which interdisciplinarity can be implemented, in terms of the deepening of epistemology, the organization of communication, and institutional structure. Finally, it suggests that interdisciplinary affinities are worth cultivating.
L’article, à partir d’une expérience de recherche en éducation, présente trois illustrations de ce que pourrait être une bonne interdisciplinarité, c’est-à-dire pensée à la fois pour l’action et la conceptualisation. Il en met en évidence le potentiel, pour le développement même des disciplines, mais aussi les conditions de réalisation, en termes d’approfondissement épistémologique, d’organisation de la communication, et de structure institutionnelle. Il propose finalement de cultiver les affinités interdisciplinaires.
