Abstract

International audience; This paper presents some key interactions amongconverters, which need to be taken into account when designing amodern embedded electrical grid, including a large amount ofPower Electronics based loads. A design by Optimization methodis first used to define the converter parameters. During this step,it is mandatory to account for the interaction between the inputand output EMI filters. The second step consists in designing thecontrol strategy; the paper will show that the results are largelyimproved if all converters are considered simultaneously. Finally, the stability study of the embedded network has to beinvestigated. All these interactions are studied in the example of athree phases AC network, composed of a Voltage Source Inverterand an Active Front End.
