History of nursing professionals in pediatrics

The bachelor thesis deals with the origin and historical development of nursing staff in pediatrics. It slightly touches into the present and compares some historical sections along with it. The aim of the work is to map the development of nursing workers from the beginning to the present, to point out their living conditions and to offer an overview of the events that helped to this development. The work is theoretical. A qualitative research survey was carried out to achieve the goal and a content analysis of the data was performed. Her work was based on historical and contemporary literature, Czech legislation, articles and monographs. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to defining concepts such as pediatrics and nursing in pediatrics. It also describes the attitude of the child in society across the time period and the reason for the need to create nursing staff directly devoted to children. The chronological development of nursing staff, history of education and living conditions are described. The result of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of nursing staff, to point to dramatic development especially in the 19th century and to compare with the current state.
