Abstract
- This article aims at outlining a reflection on some of the limitations that currently affect teachers’ initial training. To do so, we relied on studies and research, as well as in our professional experience and focused on the analysis of the following issues: the distance between teachers’ professional demands and the training they receive at university, the nature of the knowledge that teachers use in their practical teaching, the role played by values in initial training and the profile that teachers’ trainers should have.
