Qu’apporte l’échelon infracommunal à la carte des inégalités de richesse en Île-de-France?

Using the example of income disparities in the Greater Paris region (Île-de-France) in 1999, this paper seeks to show that the infra-municipal level reveals more about forms of spatial organisation than municipal-level statistics. The smaller scale highlights forms that are not always predictable. The limits of the sectors structuring social divisions in the conurbation are clearer on the smaller scale: some territories seem to be cut in half, whereas others show unsuspected social diversity.
