Abstract: This text is a report of my own experience as curator of short films at the Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes for the past 5 years. Created in 1988, the festival has a focun in independent, auteur brazilian cinema, and has become one of the larger platforms for the exhibition and discussion of contemporary brazilian cinema.
