Abstract

Model optimization stands for all techniques using experimental modal parameters to modify an existing analytical model in order to improve the correlation bet\:een analytical and measured eigenvectors and eigenvalues. An iterative technique is proposed which combines theadvantages of the methods based upon orthogonality c onditions and those based upon the use of sensitivity values. In this method, a first modification of mass, stiffness and damping matrices is performed based upon the o rthogonality of the measured modes with respect to the analytical
