Abstract
- Vapor-liquid equilibria for a binary system of carbon dioxide and 1-methylnaphthalene are measured in the range of 50 to 250° and 40 to 160 bar, in a flow apparatus. The experimental data are correlated with three equations of state, the Statistical Associating Fluid Theory (SAFT), the Perturbed Hard Chain (PHC), and the Soave (Soave). The calculated mutual solubilities and distribution coefficients (K-factors) are found to be in reasonable agreement with the experimental data.
