Abstract

This paper introduces a novel measurement method at the inner pH in the deep area of the tissue-like structure. The proposed method uses fluorescence microsensors using near-infrared light, which represents high tissue transmittance, and reference sensors for compensating the absorption of excitation and emission light to the tissue-like structure. In this paper, fluorescence pH microsensors are fabricated and evaluated the pH sensitivity. Finally, measurement of environmental pH using reference sensors, and detection of fluorescence microsensor at 1.5 mm deep in tissue-like structure are successfully demonstrated.
