Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation. Biocybernetics Dimension of Music Entrainment

The article presents selected issues of metrorhythmic stimulation subjected to humans in the aspect of their psychosomatic reaction. The problem is considered in the context of the impact of music on the psychosomatic system of human beings utilising a reductionist approach, due to the many degrees of variability in considering music holistically. The material presents comparative views by outstanding scientists in recent years, and the purpose of this analysis is to create a base for the development of a physical model of musical entrainment and mathematical quantitative description, necessary in the case of organised attempts to influence the human condition, especially targeting post-stroke and motor-cognitive physiotherapy. In addition a pilot experiment using rhythmic auditory stimulation is carried out in trialling proven models, using reductionist methods.
