Abstract

Pigment alterations of the vulva are quite common and due to either hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation caused by a wide range of inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic disorders. Because of this broad range of etiologies, accurate clinical diagnosis is difficult; therefore, clinicians must have a low threshold for biopsy when the clinical features are ambiguous.
