Abstract
- We developed an new in-situ process for production functional ceramic fibers with gradient surface layer by means of precursor methods using polycarbosilane. Using this new technology, high-strength photocatalytic fiber, which is composed of anittase-TiO 2 and amorphous SiO 2 phase, was developed. This fiber could effectively decompose harmful organic chemicals by irradiation with UV light.
