Occurrence, Fate and Associated Risks of Organic Micropollutants from the Watch List of European Groundwaters

Groundwater is the main source of water supply in the European Union and therefore, the conservation and protection of this freshwater resource against pollution are key issues. Organic micropollutants have raised concern as wastewater treatment plants partly remove them and thus, they continuously enter the aquifers, threatening groundwater quality.
