Abstract
- A simple route to highly regular concentric ring patterns of an organometallic polymer, poly(ferrocenyldimethylsilane) (PFDMS), is developed simply by allowing a drop containing PFDMS to evaporate in a confined geometry consisting of a sphere on a Si surface. Thermal treatment of PFDMS transforms it, with the retention of concentric ring patterns, into magnetic ceramic rings.
