Les acanthosomes («coated vesicles») dans l'EPR: Fonction d'endocytose au pôle basal de la cellule

Acanthosomen oder „coated vesicles” sind Zellorganellen, welche aus spezialisierten Regionen der Zellmembran hervorgehen und mit der selektiven Aufnahme von Makromolekulen in Zusammenhang stehen. Intravenously injected horseradish peroxidase diffuses from the choriocapillaris, fills the basal infoldings of the RPE, but is stopped in the intercellular space at the constricted junctions. Nach intravenoser Injektion von Peroxidase, eines Markers des Extrazellularraumes, nehmen Acanthosomen diese Molekule auf und verlagern sich von der Zellmembran ins Zellinnere. Zum ersten Mal kann damit ein Aspekt selektiver Endozytose an der auseren Blut-Netzhautschranke dargestellt werden. The authors observed that peroxidase is endocytosed by coated pits and coated vesicles in the basal part of the epithelial cell. This constitutes a selective pathway through the external blood-retinal barrier.
