Abstract

Objective The purpose of increasing knowledge, maternal attitudes about cervical cancer and the inspection of Visual Acetate. Methods This is Quasi Experimental research method with non-randomized prepost-test group design. Subjects were conducted in the Papuan smear examination. Selection of samples used was purposive sampling technique with 25 respondents for each audio-visual and leaflet group. Health education uses audio-visual media and leaflets. Data was processed using Wilcoxon, and Mann–Whitney test. Results Health education using audio visuals and leaflet information were able to provide knowledge levels, attitudes, and visual acetic acid inspection measures (p = 0.00 and 0.00) both before and after treatment. There are differences in KAA between audio-visual and leaflet group for KAA p Conclusion Study proves use of effective audio-visual media for health education activities in increasing knowledge, maternal attitudes about cervical cancer and visual acetic acid) inspection measures.
