To the Courts or the Chief? Arbitrating Land Disputes in Heterogeneous Societies

This document describes the design and planned analysis of a randomized survey experiment on dispute resolution preferences conducted on the Facebook platform in Accra, Ghana. Our proposed survey experiment will (1) evaluate the causal effect of ethnic identity on the choice of dispute resolution forum and to (2) understand the mechanisms behind this effect.
