Abstract

X-ray diagnostics for large intestine in Japan had been behind in comparison with that in Occidental by reason of the followings;(1) particular circumstances of rare disease in large intestine (early cancer, especially).(2) the complicated management prior to the inspection.(3) the troublesome X-ray scrutiny which needed considerably longer time, skillful experience and technique to get a favorable film.(4) a large amount of exposure dose.Since the direct air contrast examination of the colon had been reported by Brown 1967 at the meeting of 12th International Radiology in Tokyo, those methods have been interested.Since 1972, we have been trying to develop the remote controlled apparatus with an automatic injective and excretory install for the contrast media against the barium enema of large intestine using the X-ray television with S. Takane et al. who are the members of the development group for scrunity apparatus of large intestine, however disagreeble conditions such as (3) and (4) above had been overcome, so that the structure of this apparatus, method and these results would be reported.
