Chaos-induced turbulent diffusion

It is shown that “super diffusion” (i.e., the rate of growth of the variance of displacements is faster than linear in time) can be caused by a chaotic mechanism. A one-dimensional amplified climbing-sine model generates a diffusive process with the variance growing asymptotically like t m , 1 m B t ( B : constant > 1).
