Abstract
- Cervical cancer is one of the three most common tumors in women. In this study, we found that ZEB2 was significantly overexpressed in cervical cancer. It was found that that circular RNA circ-0117530 transcribed by ZEB2 was significantly overexpressed in cervical cancer tissues. Circ-0117530 promoted growth, invasion, and migration in cervical cancer cell lines. Dual-luciferase assays showed that that circ-0117530 regulated ZEB1 expression by sponging miR-874. These results suggest that the ZEB family is closely related to the occurrence and development of cervical cancer. Overall, we found that circ-0117530 regulates the occurrence and development of cervical cancer through the miR-874/ZEB1 axis, which may provide a potential new therapeutic target for the treatment of cervical cancer.
