RTO — A Management System for a Computerized Cancer Registry

The computerized system RTO (Registro Tumori Ospedaliero), which has been created in the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment of Naples (3.5OO in-patients, 6.000 hospital admission per year), is aimed at a Hospital Cancer Registry. It is implemented on SPERRY-1100/60, EXEC-8 O.S., in COBOL language, using the DPS/1100 package (Display Processing system designed for the management of display-oriented transactions in an online environment).
