Abstract

This study will examine the efficacy of online simulated training in CSA interviewing based on a sample of university students (n = 80) and of professional social workers (n = 60). In a 2 X 2 design, we will compare improvements in interview techniques between simulated interview training combined with either detailed feedback (vs. no feedback) on question types (two recommended and two non-recommended questions) and outcome (what actually had happened to the Avatar) or with hypothesis building before interview (vs. no hypothesis building). Participants will conduct interviews with five different Avatars after receiving instructions about best practice in child interviewing. No data have been collected for this study yet.
