Abstract
- Techniques are developed for dealing with parametric constructive solid geometry. They include methods of generating the side constraints to ensure that the object is still the same conceptually as that originally entered by the engineer. These are generated at the same time the constructive solid geometry (CSG) model is converted to a B-REP representation. In addition, a speedup technique for finite element analysis is developed. Empirical work shows that it is 20 times faster than running the equivalent NASTRAN deck.
