Abstract

The plasma phenomena are widely described in the literature focused on general plasma physics and on specific applications [1, 2, 3]. More recent book [4] described the plasma and particle collision effects that is relevant to some emerging applications in aerospace, nanotechnology, and medical applications. This Chapter presents some details of plasma characteristics and determines the elementary particle processes in plasma volume and at the plasma–surface interface, which mainly related to understand the specifics of metallic plasmas formed in low pressure or vacuum arcs.
